Almancil, The Golden Triangle, Portugal
The home of Quinta do Lago as well as Vale do Lobo, Almancil is the larger and more expansive area around these prestigious resort loca tions.
Although not within the coastal resort Almancil is an ever popular location, minutes to the key resorts and beaches whilst offering a slightly more affordable property price. However make no mistake this is still a hugely popular area in the middle of the Golden Triangle, with properties still running into the millions.
The town centre of Almancil is not as glamorous as its famous coastal resort entities however there are a number of fabulous restaurants, many far more popular than those within the Quinta and Vale do Lobo areas, at last count there were almost 200 restaurants within Almancil, ranging from your typical Portugue se road side cafe, to the Michelin Star Henrique-Leis.
At the last count, the population of this parish was 10, 677 (from the 2011 census) and the average land price was €5,000 per square meter. One of the more popular land marks in Almancil is the Sao Lourenco church a beautiful example of traditional Algarvian architecture.
