Boliqueime, Central Algarve. Portugal
Boliqueime is a little known parish of Loule with a population of around 5,000. Perhaps better known locally for being the birth place of Portuguese president Anibal Cavaco Silva.
What has attracted many to this quaint and typically Portuguese village is it’s excellent location when looking at the major attractions in the Central Algarve area. Within 5 minutes you can be in the centre of Loule, in Vilamoura marina or the beach. Expand that a little and you have the popular tourist resort of Albufeira to the West and Faro airport to the East, a veritable feast of activities and amenities all within a 20 minute drive. Not to mention countless golf courses and beaches.
One of the more appealing draws to Boliqueime in property terms would be the availability of "views". With a fairly large area of the village being built in an elevated position (43m) many properties in this area offer something that many locations closer to the coast line cannot and that is the highly sought after "sea view".
Many also look at Boliqueime as a place to move permanently too, with its village appeal and village centre with many little shops and a few bars and restaurants it’s a welcoming place and ideally located for commuting to any of the surrounding areas.
